Crystal Displays Takes on the Crystal Maze!

We are serious when it comes to business and supplying our customers with the best displays, products and solutions on the market but when it comes to having a laugh as a team we are a bunch of comedians! This year for our Summer activity we took on the Crystal Maze in London. It was such a great day out, we all enjoyed it and what an amazingly exciting way to bond as a team! Of course we smashed it and came 2nd! (due to our achievements and not due to other teams cheating at all 😉 ) We strongly recommend to give it a go if you ever get the chance! Even though you don’t get a crystal as a souvenir each which we were very sad about 🙁 See if you can take on the dome 😀

CDS Supplies the Excellent Samsung (NATIVE RESOLUTION) Ultra-Wide Stretched Displays

The stretched professional information display (PID) panels from Samsung Semiconductor Europe are available from UK distributor Crystal Display systems (CDS). The panels come in 29-inch (1920 x 540) and 37-inch(1920×540). Samsung’s stretched PID panels are manufactured using a native glass sizes and are NOT machine cut and reassembled! The main benefits of these stretched PID panels are high product reliability for 24 / 7 operation, innovative design by using native mask LCD glass sizes as well as ultra-wide viewing angle and 110°C Tni. For extended temperature use. The 29-inch 1920×540 is available in 500 cd/m² brightness (LTI290LN01) with an aspect ratio of 32:9. The 37-inch 1920 x 540 is available in 700cd/m² (LTI370LN01). While conventional bar displays are made using machine cut LCD cells, Samsung’s stretched PID panels are made using a native cut cell. This gives the Samsung panels a significant improvement in quality for issues like broken glass or sealing, micro cracks, light leakage or failures due to transport and /or unsuitable packing. Our Managing Director Chris Bartram is the New National Champion!

WOW! He’s done it and we are very proud of him! CDS’ managing director Chris Bartram is the new National Table Tennis champion for over 50s! This is 8 years after having won the over 40s 🙂 and despite recent injuries and having trained very little. He kept it a secret from the team here at CDS so it was a great surprise for the team. Chris had some very hard fought and tight games winning the last 16, quarter final, semi final and final all in the deciding 5th game which is very unusual, and he was actually 2-0 down in the final but managed to turn it around. Congratulations Chris! Now for the next achievement now your elbow is better 🙂
